Peace with a Piece

So many times in our life we ask God “Why?” We do not understand the bigger picture and call out to our Daddy. I have found with time that “Why?” isn’t the question I should be asking; instead, I should ask “How?” How are you using this in my life? How does this affect the bigger picture at hand?

The response I may get from the “Why?” question really does not bring comfort in the moment. It still hurts and there is still confusion; yet, responses to “How?” questions reminds me of the bigger picture and this is only a piece of it. Soon it will pass and another piece will be given to me.

Plus, I have found that if I received more information than I was ready for, it would just overwhelm me even more. Can you imagine someone just dumping an entire box of puzzle pieces in front of you and expect you to fully understand what to do and to do it effortlessly? Yeah, I think not!

So I have come to peace with just receiving one piece of my life’s puzzle at a time. Yes there are times when it doesn’t make any sense, but I work diligently and peacefully with the pieces I do have. I study the pieces in front of me and sometimes make a connection with another. And I trust in the One who gives me each piece as they come. Sometimes they make perfect sense and fit easily and other times the do not make any sense at all and can be very frustrating.

So I am choosing to trust in the One who can see the entire puzzle of my life and trust in His perfect plan and order in putting it together before/within me.
